what did you do over spring break that was mythological?

maenads or bacchae:  followers of Dionysus, traditionally women
entheos:  possessed by the god
sparagmos:  tearing apart of live flesh
Hippolytus:  follows Artemis, is a virgin, a "hippie", ride his horse all day, Aphrodite wants to teach him a lesson for not worshipping her, so she makes his stepmom fall in loves with him and she accuses him of rape, so the dad gets Poiseidan to kill him
psyche:  mind (soul)

stereotypes vs archetypes:  stereotypes always about who's right whereas archetypes not about who's, it only counts what possesses you
Athena:  warrior goddess, daddy's girl
myths are an elaborate system of stories and symbols that orient us to all dimensions of reality
     dimensions of reality:  up (sky)-thinking, Zeus
