  22 charateristics of the hero's journey
      Darth Vader, King Arthur, Perseus, Oedipus(meets the most requirements), Moses, Willow, Superman
Greek image of the hero- the bringer of culture to the untamed people, always carrying a staff/stick
"The Appointment in Samara":  servant at the market in Bahgdad, sees Death who gives him a threatening look, goes to master and asks to borrow his fastest horse so he made ride to Samara and escape Death.  Master agrees, servant rides to Samara.  Meanwhile, the master goes to the market and asks Death why he threatned his servant.  Death replies, "It was not a threatening look, but a look of surprise, for I was surprised to see him here because I have an appointment with him tonight in Samara."
the criminal aspect of the hero- Moses, "The Fugitive", Tom Joad, Odysseus
"a fugitive and a wanderer"- God says to Cain
